Your septic system works quietly in the background until it doesn’t. Slow drains, gurgling pipes, odors in the yard or wet spots over the drain field are signs it needs attention. Roper Plumbing is a family-owned plumbing company in Merritt Island, and septic pump-outs and septic repair are part of the everyday work we do for homeowners across Brevard County and Orlando/Central Florida.

This is where we live and where we work, so we do it right: friendly customer service, convenient scheduling and a licensed, bonded and insured team (Certified Plumbing Contractor Lic# CFC1432967).

Septic Pump-Outs

Solids build up in every septic tank over time. When a tank isn’t pumped often enough, those solids can move into the drain field and cause backups. A routine pump-out removes the buildup and keeps the system running smoothly.

Roper runs its own fleet of five pump trucks, ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 gallons, so your pump-out is handled by our team from start to finish.

How often you need a pump-out depends on the size of your tank and how many people live in the home. During your visit, we’ll look at your tank and household and tell you what schedule makes sense.

Septic Repair

When something goes wrong, we find the cause before we recommend a fix. Common septic problems we help with include:

  • ♦ Backups and slow drains throughout the house
  • ♦ Clogged or broken lines between the house and the tank
  • ♦ Odors inside or outside the home
  • ♦ Standing water or soggy ground near the tank or drain field
  • ♦ Failed lift station or effluent pumps and septic alarms
  • ♦ Drain field problems, including drain field repair and replacement

All of this work, including drain field and lift station repairs, is done in-house by our own team.

We start with a site visit so we can see the problem in person and explain your options in plain language before any work begins.

Routine Septic Maintenance

From routine maintenance to pump-outs, our goal is to keep your system healthy so you aren’t dealing with an emergency later. Regular care can help protect your drain field and avoid messy, disruptive repairs.

Emergency Septic Service, 24/7

Septic backups don’t wait for business hours. Roper Plumbing offers emergency plumbing service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If sewage is backing up into your home, call us right away.

Plumbing That Goes Beyond the Tank

Sometimes septic trouble starts in the home’s own pipes. Older homes with aging cast iron or polybutylene piping can develop leaks and drain problems. If your home’s pipes are part of the problem, learn more about our repiping services. Our team has repiped more than 30,000 units since 1991.
